Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative observed proof-rolling of subbase stone for both sides of the bridge abutment at Nature walk Parkway. The subbase was proof-rolled using a loaded tandem dump truck and was observed to be stable with no apparent severe movement. The subbase was approved for curbing installation at both sides of the bridge.

The curbing contractor began pouring curbing at the east side of the bridge to within twenty feet of the bridge up to the concrete apron.

The paving contractor also continued subgrade preparation at Unit 4, Phase 2.
