Summary *

At the request of the client's representative, the above-mentioned representative from AS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING, LLC (ASEC) visited the job site to observe the contractor's work activities and to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. We also conducted quality control (QC) testing in accordance with the project drawings and specifications.

During our recent site visit, we observed the various aspects of the project, and report our findings to you:
<ol>
 	<li><strong>Concrete Placement at Abutment (STA 202+43.45):</strong>
<ul>
 	<li>We observed the concrete placement for the abutment located at the end of the boardwalk (Mansell Spur).</li>
 	<li>The reinforcement was visually inspected and found to be in general accordance with the project drawings and details B-B' and C-C' for size, spacing and quantity.</li>
 	<li>A 3-inch clearance was noted, as per the details, during our visual inspection.</li>
</ul>
</li>
 	<li><strong>Concrete Quality Control (QC) Testing:</strong>
<ul>
 	<li>We performed quality control (QC) testing and observations for the fresh concrete placed.</li>
 	<li>Concrete slump was measured, and it was noted to be 3 1/2 inches.</li>
 	<li>Concrete placement appeared to be in line with project requirements.</li>
 	<li>The percentage of air in the concrete was measured to be approximately 2%.</li>
 	<li>A set of four (4) 6"X12" cylinders were made from a random fresh concrete sample and will be transported to the lab the next day for curing.</li>
