Summary *

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services, visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

The placement and compaction of backfill (GAB) and inspection of footings continued this day.

At the time of arrival, the contractor had already compacted GAB, however, the footing hadn't achieved finished grade.  Reinforcing steel for the footing had been installed on top of the GAB as shown in the attached photos.  Our representative recommended this area be fixed and re-evaluated prior to concrete placement.

Density test results indicate that the compacted materials did not meet the project requirement of 90% for the lot.
