At the request of the client’s representative, our AS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING, LLC (ASEC) representative, Amin Azimi visited the job site to observe the contractor's work activities from a quality standpoint to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals and conducted QC testing per the project drawings and specifications. The following observations were made on site this shift: <ul> <li>A pre-pour observation was performed for the airfield repairs, south cargo, phase 6, 7 trench drain, on this day. The contractor completed rebar and dowel basket placement for this lane.</li> <li>The writer visually inspected the installation and setup of these lanes and advised the contractor representatives of any minor corrections that were required.</li> <li>Contractor cleaned loose rock and debris and puddles of water from the base.</li> <li>Baskets were found to be level and straight and secured.</li> <li>Dowel bars have epoxy.</li> <li>The reinforcing steel was checked for size, spacing and quantity. Based on visual observations and field measurements, the reinforcing steel at the drain, appeared to be acceptable for size, spacing and quantity.</li> <li>Our representative along with Kossaife Antony of ATLQA and Hakime the ATLNext representative and CWM rep William Martin signed the pre-pour card.</li> <li>Observed the placement of concrete for the airfield south cargo phase 6, drain repairs.</li> <li>ATL Paving placed approximately 6 inches of Cement Treated Base (CTB) for lanes 8 to 12.</li> <li>Performed straightedge on CTB for lanes 11 to 17.</li> <li>CWM prepared lanes 14 and 16.</li> <li>Performed CTB Coring from lane 13 to 17,</li> <li>Lane 13 panel 4: 6"</li> <li>Lane 14, panel 6: 6.25"</li> <li>Lane 15, panel 5: 6.25"</li> <li>Lane 16, panel 4: 6"</li> <li>Lane 17, panel 1: 6"</li> </ul> In case of any questions or concerns with regards to our observations or recommendations stated in this report we will be more than glad to discuss them with you.
