Summary *

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
<h3 data-start="443" data-end="496">Subject: Observation of Burrito Wrap Installation</h3>
A request was made to observe the installation of burrito wraps (French drains) at the above-referenced site. Upon arrival, a site meeting was held with Eric, the foreman from Carmichael Construction.
It was determined during the meeting that the first burrito wrap installation had been completed prior to the site visit and was not observed. The focus of the current visit was to observe the start of the second burrito wrap installation, which will span from STC1 to STC3, with an approximate total length of 180 feet.
A temporary manhole had been installed at the northern end of the installation area to allow for future pumping of water if necessary (see attached photo).

A ditch was excavated from south to north, aligned with the temporary manhole (see photos).
</li>
 	<li data-start="1427" data-end="1507">
The work observed on this day was located beneath a future detention pond.
</li>
 	<li data-start="1508" data-end="1586">
A geotextile fabric was placed in the excavated trench.
</li>
 	<li data-start="1587" data-end="1648">
Approximately 3 feet of rock was added over the fabric.
</li>
 	<li data-start="1649" data-end="1796">
A solid corrugated drainage pipe was installed in the center of the trench and connected at the end to the temporary manhole (see photo).

No additional observations were made following this initial installation phase.

Further work will be required to complete the burrito wrap installation, and additional site visits may be necessary for observation.
