As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the next working day, construction activities continued at Pond 1, where the crew advanced excavation operations to support continued installation of the underground stormwater detention system. Soil was excavated to the required design elevation using a CAT hydraulic excavator, and the excavation base was leveled and fine-graded. A non-woven geotextile fabric was placed along the bottom and sides of the excavation.

Following fabric placement, a gravel bedding layer was installed and leveled. The crew then installed additional corrugated metal pipes (CMP) in alignment with the existing detention system. Pipe installation at Pond 1 progressed to an approximate total length of 100 lineal feet. Pipe sections were positioned using chains and the excavator. Gravel was placed around and between the pipes.

At Pond 3, the crew completed detention system finishing activities by closing the open ends of the installed pipes. End caps were secured in place, and the exposed pipe ends were wrapped and covered with geotextile fabric to prevent soil infiltration into the detention system. Additional gravel was placed as needed to stabilize the pipe ends and bedding. These activities marked the completion of pipe installation work at Pond 3.

The crew shifted operations at foundation wall to sd2-p 914. Fill material was placed along the corridor between the buildings to restore site grades. The soil was placed in two controlled lifts, each approximately 6 to 8 inches thick, and compacted using compaction equipment, including a sheep-foot roller.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project.
