As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Work activities continued across multiple areas, including fill placement, compaction, testing, and waterproofing operations.

Area 2:
Placement of No. 89 stone was carried out above the pipe with a thickness of approximately 6 inches. Following this, M10 material was placed as backfill in lifts. Water was added to achieve optimum moisture content, and compaction was performed using a trench compactor and sheep-foot roller.
Density tests were performed for each lift. A few test locations initially did not meet the required compaction. The crew reworked those areas by additional compaction, and upon re-testing, the required compaction was achieved.

Area 4:
Waterproofing activities were in progress. The crew worked on applying waterproofing measures as per project requirements.

Area 5:
Fill material was placed and compacted using a trench compactor. However, initial compaction tests did not meet the required density. Water was added to improve moisture content, and additional compaction efforts were made. Despite reworking, the compaction still did not meet the specified requirements.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
