Summary *

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site to observe the contractor and for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The pipe crew is continuing the backfill of B-15 to B-16. This area appears to have a large quantity of hard rock present. The contractor is placing soil lifts of approximately 1 to 2 feet in size and compacting using a vibrating sheep-foot roller. It was recommended to reduce the lift size to less than 12 inches to aid with the compaction process. Density testing was performed, and test results were provided to the contractor.
