Summary *

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site to observe the contractor and for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The pipe crew continued to work on excavation of sewer line B-16 and clean outs. It does not appear that they will be backfilling this line today. They are placing a thickened lift over the pipe and compacting with a trench roller to protect the pipeline. Backfilling will begin on the following day. The contractors are excavating a large quantity of hard rock and hauling the larger pieces (greater than 2 feet in size) to a deep fill area located near the entrance of the site. At this time, it does not appear that density testing is needed. ASEC recommended to have a water truck on site when they begin to backfill, as it appears to be very dry on the site.
