Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques wee employed to assure compliance with project drawling/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observation were made on site today.

1. The inspector visually observed the the completion of the storm line between HW E20 and HW E10 and the backfilling operation begun. Structural fill was placed around the placed RCP pipe and compacted utilizing a jumping jack tamper. The fill was placed in 8” lift encasing the pipe where a trench roller was then used to compact the top of the pipe to 2’ above the pipe. During this operation, the undercutting of a small heavy organic layer of soil on the North side of the pipe was observed prior to backfilling to the grade of the pipe in order to access the south side of the site.
2. The inspector met with the project manger Brad and the superintended to walk lot #27 prior to the excitation of the the heavy organic layer of soil inside of this area.
3. Lots #4-#2 where tilt bladed inorder to expedite the drying process of the soil prior to recompaction efforts.
