Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today
Upon arrival to the site the writer observed the following:
At the secondary entrance (off Pittman rd), there was a transfer pit excavation (along the slope lot 5, approximately 17ft deep by 40 ft wide.) located exclusively in the slope area. The contractor explained that the good soil material was removed and unusable soil would be returned to that area.
Work began on the soil bridge over creek 2. The writer observed the contractor initially draining the existing water, which was then followed by the removal of the top layer of highly organic material and sediment build up, followed by the addition of 2 feet of bridge lift and a final compacted layer.
Excavation and placement for the sewer pipe was also underway from MHBA70 to MHBA80.
