Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals.

A request was made for a reinforcing steel inspection for size, spacing and quantity for Lot #27.  It was found the footing rebar was not tied to code.  Also, the rebar was not on the required saddles to give the needed ground clearance.  A recommendation was given to remedy the deficiencies.  Probing and DCP testing found the footing subgrade soils to be suitable for concrete placement.  Please see the attached table.
