Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today:
It was observed a storm drain pipe was installed between A7-A71. This storm drain will be directly under the main roadway entrance to The Estates at Old Friendship. No stone was used as bedding for the pipe. Loose lifts were placed between 10 inches to 16 inches and compacted. Nuclear density gauge testing was conducted after each lift. Please see the attached results. All lifts at this stage were compacted with a trench roller Wacker Neusom RTSC.
A discussion was held with Dennis concerning the high moisture levels of the soil being used for backfilling.
At the end of each day this area was filled to allow construction traffic to pass. At the beginning of the next day, A7-A71 will be excavated to allow continued lifts on storm pipes.
