Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today:

A meeting was held with Dennis the foreman of the grading crew.  It was determined that on January 27th a new soil type would be delivered to provide material for lifts under the proposed road.  A proof-roll was conducted.  One area at Station 15+00 displayed some pumping and/or rutting.  A call was made to our ASEC representative Ken Mosman to discuss the high moisture level issues with the current on-site sandy soils.
