Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. 

A site visit was made to the Pickens Landing development.  Upon arrival, it was observed that lifts were being placed for Sta 3+00 to 4+00 on Pickens Landing Drive.  Two off-road Komatsu HM-2 Dumptrucks, 1 Sakai SV540T sheeps foot compactor, 1 Komatsu PC 350 excavator, 1 Komatsu 51 PX dozer were being used to complete lifts of 12 to 18 inches in thickness.

A 3/8-inch probe rod was used, and deflection ranged between 1 to 3 inches.
