Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today

Upon arrival to the jobsite, work was already being performed, A Komatsu bulldozer spread fill material brought by two Komatsu dump trucks and was being compacted using a Sakai cp-11 compactor. Density tests were performed and are attached. Based on the density test results, visual observation of the material placed and random probing of the placed lifts, most of the fill placed was found to meet job specifications. Failing tests were relayed to the contractor and recompaction and retesting required in these areas.  Eight (8) inch thick lifts were placed along the road and sewer lines. Density tests were taken by nuclear gauge Model 3430, Serial 38069.
