Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today.

Upon arrival our representative found no work was in progress. the contractor was preparing to place fill lifts on the dam. A CP-563c caterpillar was used for compaction and D 51pxI Komatsu Bulldozer used for spreading. Each lift was placed between 8 to 10 inches in depth. Density testing was performed with results attached.

All density tests were reported to Morris (contractor).  A nuclear density gauge model 3430, Serial Number 38069 was used.
