Observations/Finding

The site was visited by Rasheen Biggins AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today.

Upon arrive, our representative observed that work was already in progress.  The contractor was continuing to place fill along the dam area. A CAT bulldozer spread fill materials brought by two CAT Dump trucks and was compacted using a CAT 825K Landfill compactor. Density tests were performed on the fill placed. Based on the density test results, visual observation of the material lift thickness placement, and random probing of the placed lifts following compaction testing, the fill placed was found to be meet jobs specifications for compaction and stability. Results of density testing are attached.
