Observations/Finding

Our ASEC representative arrived on-site to observe soil placement for the storm drain in a drainage ditch located on the south side of the property. Upon arriving, Alan, the site representative for Charles Pruit, informed me that the drain had been installed the week prior, and he was filling the ditch with a six to eight-inch lift and compacting it with a Whacker Packer trench roller. Two density tests were performed about 50 feet apart on the southern section of the pipe area between the utility holes. The compaction test results are below:

Test #1

Wet Density: 114.9 pcf

Dry Density: 96.9 pcf

Moisture content: 18.6%

Compaction: 94%

Test #2

Wet Density: 96.3 pcf

Dry Density: 114.8 pcf

Moisture content: 18.5%
