As requested by CWM James Higgins, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative noted above, for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Site Observations:

Contractor continued work in the Localizer area, A8 area, H-Line, and the northeast taxiway. Fill was placed and compaction testing requested.
A proof-roll was requested in the area around A8, approximate elevation +1000.0.   No severe pumping and/or deflection was noted.

Density testing was performed using a Troxler nuke gauge (#3430, serial #29588).

Density testing results:
P14 Moisture Density Relationship (proctor) – 119.8 @ 14.0

T1 – elevation 1000.9, H3, P14, DD 114.1, M% 15.9, compaction 95.2%

T2 – elevation 1000.9, H2, P14, DD 112.8, M% 16.0, compaction 94.2%

T3 – elevation 1007.6, SE of localizer pad, DD 108.4, M% 15.0, compaction 90.5%

T4 – elevation 1007.6, E of localizer pad, DD 112.7, M% 14.1%, compaction 94.1%

T5 – elevation 1005.6, taxiway STA 438+50, DD 110.4, M% 15.2, compaction 92.2%

T6 – elevation 1005.6, taxiway STA 439+50, DD 114.8, M% 12.8, compaction 95.8%
