Observations/Finding

As requested by CWM James Higgins, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative noted above, for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Site Observations:

Contractor continued work on H-Line, the NE end of the taxiway, the Localizer, backfill outside SIDA by Crosswinds Rd., and the area around the A8 structure. Fill was placed and compaction testing requested.
A proof-roll of the area just east of Zone 4, south of the Localizer was performed.  No severe pumping and/or rutting was observed.
A 12″ lift of boulder fill was placed in the ravine east of Zone 4 to stabilize the subgrade.  The area still displayed slight movement so one more lift was placed.

Density testing was performed using a Troxler nuke gauge (#3430, serial #29588).
