Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by the AS Engerineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative noted above, for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services, visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. the following observations were observed on site this day.

Contractor continued work on keyway of dam. Fill was placed and spread using a dozer and ground crew continued collecting and removing oversized materials. Compaction was performed using a D51pxi sheeps-foot roller and dump truck. 

Density testing was performed using a Troxler nuclear gauge (#3430, serial #29588).

Density testing result:

T1-elevation -6.5′ from top of keyway P-2, Yd 100.0 M%23.7, Compaction: 99.5%

T2-elevation -7′ from top of keyway P-1, Yd 97.0, M%24.2, Compaction: 100.3%

T3-elevation -6′ from top of keyway P-2, Yd 99.4, M% 23.9, Compaction: 100.1%

T4-elevation -6′ from top of keyway P-1, Yd 97.9, M%24.3, Compaction: 99.4%
