Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today

Upon arrival our ASEC representative found that work was already in progress with the contractor compacting a previous lift that was placed before arrival to project. Several lifts were placed and spread using a bulldozer 61px and compacted using a sheeps-foot compactor. Each lift placed was approximately 8 to 10 inches in thickness. During density testing some of the lifts failed to meet compaction requirements and test results were reported right back to contractors, who agreed to re-compact. Density test results can be found in the attached report.
