Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today

Upon arrival, our ASEC representative observed project work was already in progress. Contractors were placing fill near the wall area. Fill was spread with a bulldozer 61px and compacted with sheeps-foot compactor, with each lift being placed in approximately 8 to 10 inches in thickness.  After taking a set of density tests, our representative noticed that the moisture contents were high, and compaction was low. Density test results were reported back to the contractor and they agreed on opening the lift up for aeration and drying. All density tests results are attached.
