Daily Field Report
As requested, our AS Engerineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative was on site for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services, visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Contractor continued backfill for Lots #421, #422, 3423 and the roadway.
Upon arrival, work was already in progress. The contractor was placing 12-inch lifts soil at about a depth of 16.5 feet below finished grade. Compaction was performed using a Caterpillar 815 F.
Density testing was performed using a Troxler nuclear gauge (#3430, serial #85759).
Density test results indicate that the compacted materials met the project requirement of 90% of the maximum dry density obtained by the (Standard Proctor ASTM 698).
