Observations/Finding

At the request of the client’s representative, AS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING, LLC (ASEC) representative, Isaac Davis visited the job site to observe and monitor the contractor’s work activities from a quality standpoint to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals and conducted QC testing per the project drawings and specifications.  The following observations were made on site this shift:

• Work was being performed in the area of proposed Vault 2 on this day.
• Rebar and form work for Vault 2 were installed.
• The writer noted presence of #57 stone at the bottom of the footing.
• The rebar installation was checked for spacing, size, grade of steel, overlap lengths, minimum cover and dimensions.
• THe installed rebar and form work for the Vault 2 appear to be acceptable and in general accordance with project specifications and shop drawings.
• Ram Mogulla with ASEC and Saketh Enukonda of ATL-QA were also present for the final inspection.
