Observations/Finding

As requested, our AS Engineering & Consulting LLC representative was on site to perform a visual reinforcing steel inspection (for Vault #2).  Compaction around the manways (tech campus) was also performed.

Vault #2

• Rebar spacing met job specifications.
• Rebar gap between both top and bottom layers met job specifications.
• Rebar was tied off and mounted as per job specifications.
• Contractor put additional rebar to reinforce the areas that were deficient due to bollards.

Tech campus

• The contractor filled in back section of manhole with M10 sand.
• This area was probed with a 3/8-inch diameter probe rod and one density test performed.  Did not meet compaction requirements so no additional work was performed in this area at this time.
• Following concrete placement around the conduit, compaction around manhole will be performed (and retested).
