Observations/Finding

As requested, our ASEC representative was on site to observe the placement of concrete for Sequence 3 (between Gates 3 and 5).  A sample of fresh concrete was obtained and various testing conducted.  Results are stated below.

Project:  Concourse D

Location:  Sequence 3 between gates 3 and 5

Ambient temperature:  74 degrees F

First sample taken:

Slump = 2 inches

Air Content = 3.5%

Concrete temperature = 70 degrees F

Unit Weight = 146.4 pcf

 

Test #1 @90 cubic yards:

Slump = 2.5

Air Content = 5%

Concrete temperature = 68 degrees F

Unit Weight = 146.6 pcf

Placed 2 loggers in lane.
