Observations/Finding

At the request of the client’s representative, AS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING, LLC (ASEC) representative, Amin Azimi visited the job site to observe and monitor the contractor’s work activities from a quality standpoint to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals and conducted QC testing per the project drawings and specifications.  The following observations were made on site this shift:

• performed a proof-roll on subgrade soils that appeared to be at finished grade elevation based on provided information.A fully loaded tandem-axled dump truck was used to conduct the proof-roll of the above-mentioned subgrade with multiple passes across the area.

  No severe yielding and/or deflection was observed during the proof-roll with the exception a small area, approximately (10×10) feet at location lane 1, panel 1 at the SE corner.  It was recommended to undercut to a depth of 6″ and replace with low slump concrete.

• Our representative along with Deion of 2Mnext and the Hazim ATLNext representative and CWM rep Brandon were present during all activities.
• Also observed straight edge activities in concourse D, lane TP 11.
