Observations/Finding

On 7-19-2023, our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Carodel Farms site to conduct quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to ensure compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on-site:

1- Backfill operations: contractor placed backfill in detention Pont 1c,1b to a depth of 4 below finished grade on the road front to
detention Pont 1b. Density tests were performed following compaction using CP 56 compactors.  The testing results indicated that the compacted material meet project requirements of 92% for the maximum dry density. TEST 1 (WD=111, DD= 89, m%=24%), TEST2 (WD=123.1, DD=99.7, m%=23%).

2-Drilling operations: Driller 1 drilled a total of 50 holes with a drilled area of 2310 cubic feet, the hole spacing length was 7 feet by 7 feet, the hole diameter
was 3.5 inches. Driller 2 drilled 20 holes with a drilled area of 980 cubic feet.  The quality control representative observed the drilling operations and observed that they were conducted safely.

3- Installation HDPE PIPE: Between manhole 37 and 38 contractors installed HDPE pipes with 4 inches of #57 stone on the bottom and covered in accordance with project requirement.
