Observations/Finding

 

AS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING, LLC (ASEC) representative Avinash Bandam visited the site at the request of Jackson Demolition representative Josh Kelly. The undersigned representative was present to monitor, verify and document the ongoing project activities. (reference drawing E720661 S1 – R5, E720659 S1-R5.)

During the visit, the following observations were made:

  1. Three thousand five hundred and sixty-four (3564) cubic yards of structural-fill materials were placed for lift (6) in section 1 basement area B7 (E720661 S1-R8) and for lift (6) in section 2 basement are G7(E720659 S1-R8). The materials were placed and compacted in accordance with ITP-001, and the fill area is highlighted in brown as depicted in the attached drawing.
  2. The basement area was probed using the hand probe and three moisture density test were performed in the basement followed with a check-plug. The test locations were marked on the enclosed drawing.
  3. Around the HDPE pipe, which functions as a dewatering well located at the southeast corner, aggregate was carefully placed. This serves to facilitate dewatering operations. Subsequently, the aggregate was wrapped with geo-fabric to prevent the migration of fines. This step aligns with the measures specified in ITP-003, aimed at maintaining the integrity of the dewatering system.
