Observations/Finding

On October 13, 2023, Vidal Dias of AS Engineering and Consulting visited the site at the contractor’s request. The purpose was to assess soil conditions and decide if soil placement activities could resume.

Soil Observations

On the morning of 10/12, rain showers resulted in oversaturated soil conditions. A recommendation was made to the contractor to allow the soils to aerate before continuing soil placement. Complying with this advice, the contractor let the soils aerate for 24 hours. On 10/13, one foot of wet soil was scraped off the top, and soil placement activities resumed.
