Observations/Finding
On October 16, 2023, Vidal Dias of AS Engineering and Consulting visited the site to observe soil placement activities for the construction of the dam. The contractor was using different types of soils along sections of the dam.
Soil Observations
A tan, brown, micaceous sandy silt was being placed along the southern slope of the dam, while red, slightly micaceous sandy clay was used for the center of the dam.
