Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

As requested, observed the reinforcing steel for retaining wall 9 prior to concrete placement.

The reinforcing steel was observed for correct size, number of bars, location of bars, spacing, cleanliness, support against displacement, splicing, clearance and steel grade. Based on observation and field measuring, the reinforcing steel at the above mentioned:

– wall reinforcement appeared to be placed according to Shop/field drawing 1A of 3 for size, spacing and quantity.

Observed the placement of 81 cubic yards of 3000 psi concrete for retaining wall 9.
