Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

The undersigned arrived on site, as requested, to observe:

The placement of 117 cubic yards of 3000 psi (307FS) and 54 cubic yards of 3000 psi (307P7-2) concrete for retaining wall 7. 

Concrete observed on this date appeared to be placed in compliance with project specifications with regard to temperature, slump, air content, and batch to placement time. 

Note: for 307FS mix air content was lower than specified range limit.

The following samples were obtained for compressive strength testing in our laboratory: 

Set A:

A set of 4 lab cylinders (3000 psi, 307FS) for retaining wall 7.

B set 3 lab cylinders (3000 psi, 307P7-2) for retaining wall 7.
