Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Meeting Attendees:
- A representative from Artisan
- ASEC engineer Ram Mogulla
- ASEC technician Russ Hendrix
- Several representatives from NJ Wilbanks Grading Company
- A representative from Advanced Explosives
Purpose of Meeting: The meeting convened to address concerns regarding the most economical approach to proceed with the Lakeside Project.
Discussion Points:
- Encountered Obstacles: During the project execution, unexpected pinnacles of rock were encountered. This unforeseen challenge required a collaborative decision to determine the best course of action.
- Decision Making: After careful deliberation, a decision was reached by the representatives present. The representative from Artisan proposed the utilization of a Hoe-ram for rock removal and suggested monitoring the progress closely.
- Economic Considerations: All parties expressed a shared concern for ensuring the most cost-effective strategy moving forward. The decision to employ the Hoe-ram was made with a view to optimizing resources while effectively addressing the encountered obstacles.
Action Items:
- ASEC engineer Ram Mogulla to coordinate monitoring efforts and report progress regularly.
- Soil technician Russ Hendrix to provide necessary insights and support as required.
- NJ Willbanks Grading Company to collaborate closely with Artisan and provide necessary assistance during the implementation phase.
- Advanced Explosives to offer expertise and support as needed.
Conclusion: The collaborative effort among the stakeholders resulted in a decisive course of action aimed at addressing the challenges encountered during the Lakeside Project.
