Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

• At the time of arrival, the contractor had already placed GAB at for the undercut locations for the Taxiway 22 replacement, phase 7A, lane 1 and lane 4.  Observation of the installation of storm pipe between MH A1 to A2 and A3 also continued this day.
• ATL Paving placed approximately 6 inches of Cement Treated Base (CTB) for lane 1 to lane 4.
• Density test results indicate that the compacted materials met the project requirement of 95% of the maximum dry density obtained by the (Modified Proctor ASTM D1557),
