Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes and material submittals.
The following observations were observed on the site this day.

• The placement and compaction of backfill soil for Lots #89 to #97 was progressed with 1-foot lifts being placed and compacted using a sheeps-foot compactor (CP54B), (RA30), (D61PX) and (CAT330).
• Excavation and placement of storm water lines and manholes progressed.
• Installation and placement of sewer lines and manhole SSA5, SS-P-B1 and SS-P-B2 progressed.
• Installation and placement of storm water lines from manhole CIA12 to CIA13 progressed.
• Installation and placement of storm water manholes CIA12 and CIA13 progressed.
• One (1) foot lifts were being placed and compacted at the trench between storm water manholes CIA12 and CIA13 using trench packer (BMP8500) and sheeps-foot (CP54B) equipment.
• Two (2) foot lifts were placed and compacted for the trench to sewer manhole SSA4.
• Density test results indicate that the compacted material met the project requirements of 95% the maximum dry density obtained by the (Standard Proctor ASTM 698).
