Observations/Finding

Site Inspection and Testing Report

As requested, an AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the site to perform quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and material submittals. Below are the observations recorded during this visit:

  1. Work Progress:
    • Placement and compaction of backfill soils for water line 222, extending to Lot #227 and the green area (location is shown in the picture) was in progress.
    • Work also continued on DSL lane compaction activities.
  2. Equipment and Methods:
    • A 6-ton pad-foot and trench compactor were used for the water line compaction process.
    • Compaction testing was conducted using the Standard Test Method for Density of Soil in Place by Drive-Cylinder (ASTM D698) and general probing with a 3/8″ diameter probe rod.
  3. Testing Results:
    • Density test results showed that most of the compacted materials met the project requirements
      • 95% maximum dry density for the water line.

We appreciate the opportunity to provide our services for this project. If you have any questions or need further details regarding this report, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,
[Aminullah Azimi/Soils inspector]
