Observations/Finding

Our AS Engineering & Consulting (ASEC) representative arrived on site to observe field activities. The following tasks were performed:

Observed the placement of fill/grading for Lots #26 through #31 today, spread by a 61Pxi Komatsu Bulldozer and compacted using a 815F CAT. Cutting continued from the adjacent roadway using a 349E CAT Excavator and hauling with two 745C dump trucks.  Compaction tests were performed using a nuclear density gauge.

Backfilling of the sewer line between Manholes E1 and E2 continued today.

Overall, the results of density testing confirmed that fill compaction met the project and ASTM requirements. Results are attached in a separate report.
