Quality Control Inspection and Testing Services Report

As requested, our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the site to provide quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and material submittals. The following observations were made on-site today:

1. Stabilization of Retaining Wall #1 Footing
   • Observed between Station 0+95 and Station 1+27.
   • The footing was muddy with groundwater present at the surface.
   • The contractor addressed wet surficial soil issue by placing a 3-foot layer of riprap at the bottom, compacting using an excavator. Following this, a 1-foot layer of No. 57 stone was placed by the wall contractor.
2. Installation of Retaining Wall Blocks
   • The placement of ride rock blocks was in progress.
   • Geo-grid reinforcement was installed with every course of the wall.
   • A 1-foot layer of No. 57 stone was utilized behind the blocks and within the wall cells.
