Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
The aforementioned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Cottages at Villa Rica site to monitor drilling and rock removal operations. The contractor performing the work was Precision Blasting. The following observations were made on-site:
Drilling Data:
Drilling commenced three rows ahead of the day’s scheduled work, as these rows were selected to minimize disruption during subsequent blasting operations. After completing drilling in 32 holes, the team shifted to drilling the lateral at Lot 48. The driller successfully completed 8 holes; however, in three of them, rock was not encountered below 15 feet, eliminating the need for blasting in those locations. Instead, the area will be cleared using dozers.
All drilling activities were conducted south of Lots 48, 49, and 50 and west of manhole A2. The operation proceeded smoothly. The drilled holes remained intact and reached a depth of 17 feet. Drilling in this area was performed in three rows spaced approximately 5 feet apart, with 7 feet between drilling locations within each row.
A layout drawing showing the approximate area where drilling was performed on this day is attached to this report.
