Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
The aforementioned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Cottages at Villa Rica site to monitor drilling and rock removal operations. The contractor performing the work was Precision Blasting. The following observations were made on-site:
Drilling Data:
There were two drillers on site today, so the contractor drilled in two separate locations. The first area had drilling on lateral (41) south of Lot #42 and northwest of manhole A1. Rock was encountered at an average depth of 7 feet. Hole spacing was 7 feet apart and approximately 8 feet between each drilling location.
The other drilling location started north of manhole A1 and continued down south of manhole A1. The drill made contact with rock around 14 to 16 feet on average but had two locations that encountered rock at just 3 feet. The spacing was 6 feet apart and 8 feet between each drilling location. There was also drilling east and west of manhole A1, following where the main sewer line would run. These locations encountered rock around the 12-to-15-foot range.
A layout drawing showing the approximate area where drilling was performed on this day is attached to this report.
