Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

• Savannah Pipe Works: Next to Lot #995, the contractor resumed work from the previous day and began addressing the rock encountered in the trench. Despite utilizing the Kobelco SK 350LC excavator, the contractor faced challenges in breaking the rock due to its hardness, resulting in minimal progress. As a result, the contractor scheduled the use of a stone breaker for Thursday, 02/06/25, to manage the rock removal. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the road, excavation and site activities were carried out using a Takeuchi SL2 mini-Bobcat dozer. Once these tasks were completed, the contractor paused work for the day, with plans to resume on Thursday as scheduled.
