Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

• Savanna Excavation: Next to Lot #995, the contractor resumed work from the previous day and began addressing the rock encountered in the trench. Despite utilizing the Kobelco SK 350LC excavator, the contractor had difficulty breaking up rock. As a result, the contractor switched to a Kobelco Sk 350LC Breaker. By the end of the day the contractor finished cutting the trench of size 7’ x 38’ x 12’6″, and the installation of trench box was completed. Excavation and site activities were carried out from the previous day for storm water lines behind the previously numbered lots (#1000 through #1005).
