Observations/Finding

An AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Cottages at Villa Rica site to monitor drilling and rock removal operations. The work was performed by Precision Blasting. Below are the key observations from the site visit:

Blasting Data

• Blasting operations continued along the sewer/storm line, extending south from Manhole A1 and east of Lot 40.
• Laterals #123 and #38 were included in this blast.
• The entire operation was executed in a single shot, proceeding smoothly without complications.
• A total trench area of 1880 square feet with a pay width of 8 feet (as provided by Precision Blasting) was blasted.
• The calculated trench rock volume removed was 580.86 cubic yards.

Drilling Data

• Drilling operations progressed west of Lot #123 using a trench pattern approach.
• Two drillers were operating simultaneously, increasing efficiency and ensuring a strong start for the next day’s drilling activities.
