Observations/Finding

The aforementioned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Cottages at Villa Rica site to monitor drilling and rock removal operations. The contractor performing the work was Precision Blasting. The following observations were made on-site:

Blasting Data:

The area blasted today was between lot #192 and lot #54 and for the lateral to lot 54. The center of the blast was a trench pattern and had mass rock patterns on either side. A total trench area blasted was 744 square feet. The calculated volume of trench rock blasted was 374.76 cubic yards. A total mass rock area blasted was 2,304 square feet with a with a calculated volume of 740.00 cubic yards rock blasted. These blasts created holes in the ground that were over 20 ft deep, the excavation team leveled the area after the blast to make it safer to walk around.

Drilling Data:

The drilling continued in the same pattern as before. Trench in the middle with mass rock patterns surrounding both sides. The team continued south towards lot #190 and lot #56.
