Observations/Finding

Our AS Engineering & Consulting (ASEC) representative arrived on site to observe field activities. The following tasks were performed:

Observed the placement of fill/grading for Lots #70and #71 (the previous temporary pond) today.  Cutting and filling continued this day. The excavating was performed by a 349E Excavator and transporting was performed by two tandem-axled 745C trucks.  Spreading was done by a 61Pxi Komatsu Bulldozer and the compaction by an 815F CAT Roller.

Storm line backfill between B1-B3 manholes compacted today whereas line B3-B5 placement is underway.

Compaction tests were performed using a nuclear density gauge. Overall, the results of density testing confirmed that fill compaction met the project and ASTM requirements. Results are attached in separate reports.
