Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Heritage Pointe Villa Rica: Footing Inspection (Lot #66)
On February 21, 2025, the Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) test was conducted on both sides of Lot #66, with the report (ID: 77815) subsequently provided to the contractor. Based on the results, the contractor was advised to perform core cutting along the tie beam of the building, both at the front and the side, with a dimension of 2 feet in width and 4 feet in depth. A total of 19 core cuts were carried out along the sides and front of the tie beams/footings.
Some of the core cuts were performed to a depth of 4 feet, while others were extended until a hard layer was encountered. Reinforcement bars were properly placed within the core cuts in preparation for the concrete procedure. On-site observations confirm that the reinforcement was correctly installed, and a plastic sheet was placed beneath the reinforcement to ensure proper procedure adherence. Minor suggestions were made for the removal of loose dirt from the corners of the beams and from the pits.
