Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of soil being placed in approximately 8-inch lifts on Lots #120 and #121. The soil was tested for moisture content, which showed to be too high for proper compaction and it was recommended to the contractor to place one layer of fill and allow ample time to aerate to near optimum moisture content prior to recompaction. The technician also tested for compaction around the OCP that was installed in the retention pond by Lots #140 – #143 on right side of the site.
